I created this work from an original smaller picture with a black background and colourful foreground. From this I went on to create a larger piece with a white background and experimental foreground of corals, stars and spermatozoa. The original inspiration came from an interest in natural history programmes on TV such as ‘The Blue Planet’, which I then went on to recreate in my own vision with colours such as those seen.
