Accessible Services Consultant by Olivier Jamin
Olivier has been involved in a variety of BSL tours and talks and has produced a number of videos, some of which can be seen via You Tube. The videos are accessible for Deaf, Hard of Hearing and mainstream audiences as they are produced via British Sign Language (BSL) and are both subtitled and voiced over by a qualified, registered BSL/English Interpreter.
Olivier is currently working in partnership with Midlands Art Centre (MAC) and will be leading BSL tours for upcoming exhibitions. The aim being to encourage participants regardless of background/disability to engage with the arts.

Olivier has also been involved in an advisory capacity as part of a steering group looking at iPad technology, ensuring information is available to a wider audience, including BSL users, in particular at the Coffin Fittings Works, aka Newman Brothers Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham.
Olivier was also involved in supporting staff, during the initial stages of consultation, and present when bringing together a group of people to discuss how best to ensure local historical sites of interest could be made more accessible to Deaf/disabled visitors.
Olivier is experienced in offering information, advice and guidance to venues in how to ensure their venue is more accessible. If you would like more information on how to do this and further your understanding of the issues faced by Deaf/disabled attendees; how to book a communication professional and so on, then get in contact.
